Lina Hinestroza
Lina Hinestroza is an authentic, creative woman passionate about what she does. She always has a ready smile, a new idea in mind, and a unique way of seeing the world that inspires those around her.
There are moments in life that break us... or transform us. Lina Hinestroza was told "cancer," and although the fear was real, so was the strength it awakened within her. She turned her experience into purpose and her pain into a warm voice that today accompanies hundreds of patients and caregivers.
It was in 2013 that she received her breast cancer diagnosis. What at first seemed devastating news eventually became the source of her greatest purpose. She overcame 16 chemotherapy sessions, several surgeries, and countless difficult emotions, but she also found a community in that process that, like her, needed information, companionship, and hope. Thus was born AlmaRosa, the foundation she now leads, where she provides cancer patients, caregivers, and their families with a comprehensive and deeply humane approach.
A communicator by profession, Lina also runs the Primavera PR agency. She is a writer, speaker, and coach specializing in emotional well-being. Her personal story—which she tells in her book, Cancer, a Poorly Packaged Gift—has become a beacon for many people living with this disease.
Through AlmaRosa, she has promoted projects such as the digital guide The Kinder Side of Cancer, self-care spaces like Prana Rosa, awareness campaigns like the Run of the Roses, and fashion shows featuring patients as models. Her message is clear: cancer can be navigated with greater well-being if we face it with tools, truth, empathy, and a support network.
At The Golden Club, we are honored to welcome a woman who turned pain into purpose, who continues to transform lives through her story, and who reminds us that even in the toughest moments, you can be—and feel—more alive than ever.
