Because serving changed my life

If you had asked me a few years ago what my purpose was, I probably would have said I wanted to learn, travel, grow as a person—important things, yes, but somewhat general. Today, after many life-changing experiences, I can say with absolute certainty: I came to help others. And from there, from a deep love for social service, The Golden Club emerged in my heart.

It wasn't something that appeared overnight. It was a path I walked with open eyes, attentive ears, and a sensitivity that allowed me to understand that serving isn't just about giving; it's also about listening, accompanying, making visible, and embracing with concrete actions.

I am a curious and deeply committed woman. I am driven by female empowerment, education, health, and the environment. I love connecting with girls, adolescents, and entrepreneurial mothers, listening to their stories, supporting them in their journeys, and giving them visibility. But I am also passionate about listening to those who, through their own talents and professions, are making the world a more just place. This is how The Golden Club was born: a space to celebrate those who serve, from where they are, with what they have.

Social transformation

If I had to list the causes and organizations I've collaborated with, I couldn't start with any other than the Moda y Flores Foundation. It was they who, in July 2023, crowned me Miss Antioquia. Since then, I've had the enormous honor of participating in various events and venues for an organization that works to strengthen the skills of vulnerable populations so they can positively impact their lives and those of their families.

Since then, I've been on a path of social and personal transformation; because nothing changes your life more than helping to change and improve the lives of others.

At the Pablo Tobón Uribe Hospital, I learned about the wonderful Aula Pablito project, where I was able to share experiences with children who were studying while dealing with complex illnesses. Along the same path, I came across the Ángel de la Guarda Foundation and the Aluna Foundation. It was with the children that I understood that healing doesn't always mean curing, but rather being present with love. I confess that children are and will always be my favorite people; spending time with them is what I enjoy most... no adult ever asks me what my favorite color is or if I had a power, what would it be, hahaha. Answers, because I know I left you intrigued: blue and the ability to communicate with all living beings.

Health also led me to Fundayama and Alma Rosa, where I've shared with warrior women fighting cancer with inspiring strength. And to Casa Barco and Sueños por Colombia, where working with children and families has shown me the value of hope, even in the midst of vulnerability.

Another significant moment was my time at the Matamoros Corporation, which works with soldiers wounded during the armed conflict. There, I reaffirmed that service also means honoring history, accompanying the pain, and reaching out with respect and dignity. Through them, I truly learned what a love of life is. Despite their lives marked by violence, they live every day with light and joy. They are the first to put a smile on their faces and tell the most incredible joke of all.

And what greater engine of social transformation than education? Together with the Mayor's Office of Medellín and Parceros, a program of the Youth Secretariat, I have supported spaces designed to provide young people with access to study and employment opportunities, removing them from risky environments and motivating them to invest their time in life projects. I have also participated for several years in the Colegio San Lucas bazaar, a purposeful activity that seeks to raise funds to support primary and secondary education for girls and boys.

Fashion, culture and tourism

While all this was happening, my love for art, culture, fashion, and tourism grew stronger. Service is also present in our cultural expressions, in the traditions we defend, in the way we showcase the best of our country.

It has been a privilege to promote art, gastronomy, fashion, and tourism as vehicles for development and cultural pride. From the Manizales Fair, the Francisco el Hombre Festival, to the traditional Barranquilla Carnival, I have witnessed the power of culture to unite us, generate identity, and motivate us to dream big for a better country, a dream that is felt every day, just as we felt during those days of celebration.

Responsible tourism has also been a priority: I have worked to highlight little-known towns, traditions, and territories, promoting ways of traveling that respect biodiversity, boost local economies, and enhance cultural diversity.

During these tours, I have sampled the culinary richness of Valledupar, Boyacá, Bolívar, and many other municipalities and regions. I have had the opportunity to speak with local chefs, learning about ancestral knowledge and understanding the role of gastronomy in community building.

And visiting Colombiamoda, Colombiatex, Bogotá Fashion Week, the Andrés Pajón Gala, and many other shows and events made me realize how fashion is a tool for empowerment and social storytelling, where each garment can tell a story, and each designer can contribute to a more ethical, sustainable, diverse, and inclusive industry. The social and economic impact this industry has is massive.

A podcast born from the heart

With all this experience, The Golden Club was born as a space I dreamed of with my heart. Here, I invite brilliant, generous, and courageous people who are using their talent to build a better world. They are foundation leaders, social entrepreneurs, artists, and agents of change. People who, from their place of work, are lifting others up.

I want this podcast to spread the love of service. I want us to understand that we don't need a crown or a position to make an impact. It's enough to listen, to lend a hand, to make someone feel seen and valued.

Because the true Golden Club is made up of those who deliver love, compassion, and action. And you can be part of it too.
